Description
Annular cutters or some call it a broach cutters are used to cut precision holes in heavy metals through the use of a magnetic drill.
They work when the annular cutter is attached to a magnetic drill. Leverage is applied via the drill handle which when the cutter makes contact with the metal, cutting a groove in the borders. The annular drill cuts through thick steel plate far easier than with twist drills.
Due to the simplicity in cutting thick steel plate, annular cutters are perfect for cutting larger precision holes. While we only distribute annular cutters up to 50mm, it is not unheard of for annular cutter availability at a size of 120mm and more. If you can only afford one type and you are not sure which one to buy, a safe choice would be a broach cutter with 50mm depth although we also sell 35mm depth.
Whether 35mm or 50mm annular cutter holes depth , both deliver an offshoot known as the slug in one rounded piece.
ANNULAR CUTTER QUALITY
Aside from ensuring you have correctly sized annular cutters, it is equally important that your tool is of premium quality. Premium cutters are durable and should last a considerable period.
This cutter, in particular, is made of tungsten carbide which is the toughest used material in manufacturing annular cutters. Tungsten is known for its superior strength and extreme toughness. It also has a high resistance to heat and helps your tool become resistant to corrosion.
Tungsten Carbide Tipped (TCT) refers to the special blades at the tip of the cutter. These will cut through the thickest steel and are widely accepted as superior to high-speed steel cutters. TCT cutters are a popular choice among metalworkers, professionals etc
