Description
Vernier Caliper, also known as vernier caliper or mechanical caliper, is a length measuring tool based on vernier invented by Pierre Vernier in 1631. This device is used to measure the inside and outside dimensions, bounce distance and depth of details or samples with high accuracy.
Highlights:
- Measuring range:Â Mitutoyo 530-501 caliper has a measuring range of 0 to 600 mm, measuring in metric system.
- Division and accuracy: The division is 0.05 mm with an accuracy of ±0.1 mm, allowing for high precision measurement.
- Material:Â Made of tool steel with low thermal expansion coefficient. Polished sliding surface and improved slide design for smooth movement and accurate measurement results.
- Cruiser design: The vernier scale surface has a 14º angle with even and clear graduations, reducing errors when reading measurement indexes.
| Range (mm) | 0 – 600 mm |
|---|---|
| Max. Permissible Error (mm) | ±0.10 mm (EMPE) / ±0.12 (SMPE) |
| Graduation (mm) | 0.05 mm |
| Outside Jaw Thickness | 6 mm |
